Gulf South stucco home protected by Rhino Shield breathable ceramic coating

Stucco Painting in the Gulf South | Paint + Protection.

Unprotected stucco lets in mold growing moisture. Protect Your Home. Shield Your Family.

Stucco is a cement based surface, and cement is full of tiny pores. In the Gulf South, those pores pull in humidity, wind driven rain, and salt air all summer. The water gets in and does not get back out on its own. It sits behind the surface, feeding mold and mildew long before either one ever shows up as a stain you can see. That slow buildup is Climate Cancer, and porous stucco is one of its easiest ways into your home.

The problem with stucco painting

Most stucco painting makes the problem worse.

Ordinary stucco paint lays a film across the surface. That film seals in the water already inside the wall. The stucco can no longer breathe. Pressure builds behind the coating, and within a few Gulf summers you get hairline cracking, bubbling, and a repaint bill every five to seven years. Standard stucco painting does not protect your home. It hides the problem, then hands you the bill.

Rhino Shield Climate Proof Ceramic Coating is not paint. It is a breathable ceramic system built for this climate. Bonded ceramic microspheres let water vapor escape from inside the wall while sealing the outside against rain and salt air. Your stucco vents and stays dry. The color holds through Gulf UV, and the system flexes with the small seasonal movement stucco naturally has, so it resists the hairline cracking that ordinary paint locks in place. The system carries a 25 year transferable manufacturer's warranty, and when my crew finds damaged wood behind the stucco during prep, we replace it before we coat instead of recoating over it.

What you actually get

Home health, family health, and equity.

One coating defends the three things that matter most about your home.

Home health: woman opening her window in a protected home

Home Health

The wall breathes, moisture leaves, and the mildew and efflorescence that keep coming back on painted stucco lose the water they feed on.

Family health protected by Rhino Shield

Family Health

When exterior moisture stops moving into your walls, you cut the conditions that grow mold behind them. Drier walls, cleaner air inside.

Home equity protected by a transferable warranty

Home Equity

One coating replaces four or five repaint cycles over 25 years. The warranty transfers to the next owner and shows up at closing as a protected, maintained home. Figured across 25 years, Climate Proof Ceramic Coating runs about 600 dollars a year, against repainting your stucco every five to seven years.

How the diagnosis works

I don't give estimates. I give diagnoses.

01

Walk and read

When you book your free Home Protection Consultation, I come out myself. I walk every elevation, read the existing cracks, find the efflorescence and the moisture line, and check the wood framing behind the stucco.

02

The honest diagnosis

I tell you what your walls are actually doing. If there is rot or failure behind the stucco, we replace the damaged wood framing before any coating goes on, because coating over rot only buries it.

03

Prep, fill, coat

My crew preps the surface, fills and treats any cracking, reseals the joints and penetrations where storms drive water in, and applies the ceramic system. You get an exact written number before a single thing begins.

Your questions, answered.

The questions homeowners ask before they book.

Yes. The system is formulated for stucco, brick, wood, Hardie, and other exterior surfaces. Stucco is one of the surfaces it protects best, because stucco is porous and needs a coating that breathes.
No, and that is the opposite of what happens. Ordinary paint traps moisture. This ceramic system is vapor permeable by design. It lets water vapor out of the wall while keeping liquid water and salt air from getting in. The wall dries instead of drowning.
For ordinary elastomeric paint, the criticism is real: painters themselves warn that standard elastomeric coatings seal the wall so completely that moisture inside cannot escape, which damages the stucco from behind. That is exactly the problem this system was engineered around. Rhino Shield flexes like an elastomeric, so it bridges and resists hairline cracking, but the bonded ceramic microspheres keep it vapor permeable, so the wall still breathes. You get the flexibility without the trapped moisture.
The crew treats and fills existing surface cracks during prep. The coating's flexibility then helps resist new hairline cracking the way rigid paint cannot. Cracks caused by structural movement or damage behind the stucco are addressed as part of the diagnosis, and repaired before coating.
The coating removes the exterior moisture that mold and mildew feed on. Once the trapped water is vented out and new water is kept off the wall, the mildew streaks and the damp stop coming back the way they do on painted stucco. If growth is already established, we treat the existing exterior mold and mildew first.
The coating is built and warrantied for 25 years, and the warranty transfers if you sell. Compare that to repainting stucco every five to seven years.
A repaint is cheaper on day one and far more expensive over 25 years, because you pay for it again and again. One Climate Proof Ceramic Coating ends the cycle and adds a documented, transferable asset to your home.
